Training Coordinator – Food Manufacturing
Location: Burton-on-Trent
Salary: £30,000 – £35,000 DOE
Permanent, Full Time, Monday–Friday Day Shift

Major Recruitment is recruiting a Training Coordinator for our clients business in Burton-on-Trent. The role supports staff development, ensures compliance with food safety and hygiene standards, and coordinates induction and mandatory training across the business.

Key responsibilities:

  • Deliver inductions and mandatory on-site production training in line with customer audits and compliance requirements.

  • Maintain, update, and create SOPs for production processes and new machinery.

  • Work with department managers to identify current and future training needs and conduct skills gap analyses.

  • Support the design and delivery of training programs, workshops, and e-learning modules tailored to operational needs.

  • Coordinate with external training providers when required.

  • Manage onboarding for new employees, helping them integrate into company culture and operational standards.

  • Track and evaluate training effectiveness using feedback, assessments, and performance metrics.

  • Provide reports and insights to management on training activities and outcomes.

  • Support career development initiatives, including succession planning and development programs.

  • Foster a culture of continuous learning, knowledge sharing, and collaboration.

  • Act as a point of contact for employee development queries.

Candidate requirements:

  • Experience in a food manufacturing environment.

  • Experience in training coordination, learning and development, or a similar role.

  • Knowledge of food safety, hygiene, and compliance standards.

  • Strong organisational, communication, and record-keeping skills.
